ETH medal awards for six doctoral students of D-HEST
This year six dotoral theses were awarded the ETH medal at the Departement of Health Sciences and Technology:
Golden Owl 2021 for Stephen Ferguson
Prof. Stephen Ferguson, currently Head of the Department of Health Sciences and Technology, has been awarded the Golden Owl 2021. Stephen Ferguson is Professor of Biomechanics at the Institute for Biomechanics and leads the Laboratory for Orthopaedic Technology.
Latsis Prize 2021 for Stanisa Raspopovic
Prof. Stanisa Raspopovic, Professor for Neuroengineering at the Department of Health Sciences and Technology, has been awarded the Latsis Prize 2021.
Prestigious Lopez-Loreta Prize for Nicole Stoffel
Great honor for Dr. Nicole Stoffel from the Laboratory of Human Nutrition at the Department of Health Sciences and Technology: on ETH Day on November 20, 2021, she was awarded the Lopez-Loreta Prize for her project "Effects of iron on immunity and the response to vaccines – in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic and future global viral threats".
Dandelion Entrepreneurship Award for ETH Professors
The new "Dandelion Entrepreneurship Award for ETH Professors" recognizes professors for their outstanding efforts to promote entrepreneurship at ETH Zurich and was given for the first time this year by ETH Entrepreneur Club and ETH AI Center.
James Mitchell Award for Excellence in Collaborative Science
The Department of Health Sciences and Technology awarded the first James Mitchell Ward for Excellence in Collaborative Science to Dr. Gabriele Fontana, Laboratory of Toxicology, at a ceremony on June 8, 2021.
