ETH medal awards for six doctoral students of D-HEST

This year six dotoral theses were awarded the ETH medal at the Departement of Health Sciences and Technology:

  • Yiping Cao. His thesis entitled "Protein Amyloid Fibrils: Gelling and Reversible Properties" was carried out under the supervision of Prof. Raffaele Mezzenga.
  • Agata Ferretti. Her thesis entitled "Ethics and Governance of Big Data in Health Research and Digital Health Applications" was carried out under the supervision of Prof. Effy Vayena.
  • Moritz Gold. His thesis entitled "Towards more efficient biowaste utilization with black soldier fly larvae to produce more sustainable animal feed" was carried out under the supervision of Prof. Alexander Mathys.
  • Florian Haufe. His thesis entitled "Walking with robots: how powered wearable devices assist human movement" was carried out under the supervision of Prof. Robert Riener.
  • Marija Markicevic. Her thesis entitled "Causal effects of acute cell-​specific neuromodulation on resting-​state functional connectivity and brain dynamics" was carried out under the supervision of Prof. Nicole Wenderoth.
  • Fabian Passini. His thesis entitled "Tendon Mechanotransduction in Human Athletic Performance and Aging" was carried out under the supervision of Prof. Jess Snedeker.
