The Department

Founded in 2012, the Department of Health Sciences and Technology (D-HEST) is the youngest department of ETH Zurich. It has grown to be one of the largest, demonstrating diversity in science and education by heterogeneous research groups and three full study programs

Food Sciences and Nutrition (BSc, MSc)
Human Medicine (BSc)
Health Sciences and Technology (BSc, MSc)

In addition, D-HEST offers various programs and courses for continuing education and public outreach. The department's themes are interdisciplinarity, translation, entrepreneurship, and technological advancement. Through this focus, D-HEST is committed to addressing the global needs of society, research and industry.
