Minors

Minor courses offer knowledge and training beyond the core subject. The following minors are available for selection:

Human Nutrition (only available in connection with the major Food Science and Technology)
Food Processing (only available in connection with the major Nutrition and Health)
Statistical Methods in Food Science and Nutrition
Consumer and Sensory Science
Agri-Food Chain
Food Safety

Electives

Electives allow students to tailor their studies to their own interests. Electives can be chosen from any courses offered by ETH Zurich or University of Zurich*.

Science in Perspective

The study programme Science in Perspective is offered by the Department of Humanities, Social and Political Sciences (D-GESS).
The aim of these courses is to make the connection between expertise and action and societal and economic issues.
For the completion of the Master's programme at least 3 credit points have to be taken in the area of Science in Perspective.
Courses in educational science which are part of the teacher training (Didactic Certificate) can also be counted as Science in Perspective courses.
