Golden Owl for Cécile König

As in previous years, the Golden Owls were awarded at the ETH Day on 16 November 2019. The Golden Owl is awarded by the VSETH and honours lecturers who have provided exceptional teaching and motivates them to continue with their excellent teaching.

The students of the Department of Health Sciences and Technology have chosen Ms. Cécile König, lecturer in the fields of dancing and the Teaching Diploma Sport, to receive the Golden Owl 2019.

Cécile König graduated from ETH Zurich in 1989 as teacher for physical education (Sportlehrerin). She is a lecturer at the University of Applied Science for Education in Lucerne (Pädagogische Hochschule). Cécile König is educating teachers of physical education for all levels of Swiss Secondary School. She has been teaching dance to ETH Students since 2002 in the study program "Teaching Diploma Sport" (Lehrdiplom Sport) and received the Golden Owl already in 2009 for the first time .
