Overview
Speed Presentations are the heart of the Research Day. Almost 90 doctoral students from the four research areas Medical Engineering, Movement Sciences and Sport, Food and Nutrition, and Neurosciences presented their doctoral theses in 2 minute presentations.
This year's special guest, keynote speaker Prof. Dr. Donald E. Ingber, gave a lively insight into the work of the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering.
Tours were offered to the labs of the Medical Engineering groups located on Hönggerberg campus. These popular Lab Tours were a unique opportunity to learn on site about the work of the doctoral students in their field.
Postdocs took the opportunity to get together in a separate Graduate Session in order to discuss topics of their interest.
In the afternoon, the last session of Speed Presentation was followed by a Panel Discussion about "Interdisciplinary Collaboration", with the participation of D-HEST Professors, a young scientist, and the keynote speaker Donald E. Ingber.
