Sara Kijewski joined ETH in January 2022. She holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Bern. During her graduate and undergraduate studies, she also studied at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (USA), the University of Oslo and the University of Zurich.
At the Health Ethics & Policy Lab, she manages the organization of the course Health Data and AI: Responsible Innovation, Ethics and Regulatory Strategies, is a postdoctoral researcher (previously on NRP 77: Digital Health Innovation: a Governance Roadmap for Switzerland (D-GOVmap)) and coordinates undergraduate courses and internships. In the past, she was involved in the project Precise4Q: Predictive Modelling in Stroke.
Outside the lab, she is the Director of Operations of the ETH AI Ethics and Policy Network.
